The WLMouse Beast G finally landed here at InputGear, and I couldn't wait to crack it open. Right away, you can tell WLMouse put a lot of effort into the presentation. Everything is neatly organized, and the box comes packed with useful extras including the 8K wireless receiver, USB-C cable, two sets of grip tape, replacement PTFE skates, and 20 dot skates. It's refreshing to see a company include everything you'll actually use instead of selling the accessories separately.
The first thing that stood out to me was the new microcrystalline composite shell. It has a unique feel that's different from the usual plastic or magnesium mice. It's smooth, cool to the touch, and has just enough texture to feel secure in hand. The overall build feels incredibly light without feeling flimsy. From what I've been seeing around the community, most people are really impressed with the shape, coating, and overall feel. There have been some reports of quality control issues on the very first production batch, mainly around the buttons, but WLMouse has already acknowledged those concerns and is working to address them.
For those who love the technical details, the Beast G is loaded with flagship hardware. It uses the PixArt PAW3950HS sensor paired with a Nordic nRF54L15 MCU and Kailh Optical V2 switches. It supports up to 8,000Hz wireless polling, 30,000 DPI, 750 IPS tracking speed, and 50G acceleration. The Beast G is available in Mini, Medium, and Max sizes, weighing approximately 35g, 38g, and 41g respectively, all while keeping the exact same internal hardware and wireless performance. Battery life is rated for up to 160 hours at 1,000Hz, giving you plenty of runtime between charges.
Overall, I'm excited to spend more time with the Beast G. It already feels like one of the more interesting lightweight mice released this year, not just because of the specs, but because it brings something genuinely different with its composite shell. I'll be putting it through plenty of gaming sessions over the next couple of weeks, so keep an eye out for the full review and some side-by-side comparisons with a few of the other top contenders.
